about voicestyle

Sue Scott created VoiceStyle Studio in 1991 with a determination to deliver effective vocal training for singers of all contemporary/popular genres.  In an era of large entertainment schools, we are a 'boutique' sized studio focussing only on singing and performance, with an emphasis on personalising lessons to suit each student. In other words, we're more interested in the quality of our lessons than student numbers.

From its' inception the large focus was to provide live performance opportunities for students and, to date, VoiceStyle has produced over 40 shows to help students gain confidence and experience - events that have always proven popular with student families and friends. In 2000 Sue introduced singing classes for kids and, for the first time, began carefully selecting and training teachers to assist with growing student numbers.

"I'm extremely proud of the many students we've helped over the years and those who now work in the industry." Sue    (See some of our Achievers here)

Open to kids, teens and adults we offer quality training to beginners through to professional performers. Lessons currently run Mondays to Thursdays and Saturdays and focus on technique and how to best deliver your songs to suit your unique voice and style.  Individual lessons are 1/2hr in duration at the same time each week, while Group sessions are 45mins.

It's important to us that our teachers are not only outstanding vocalists but also well trained in vocal technique, effective communicators, enthusiastic and experienced performers.  Our teachers are carefully selected to ensure you receive the best quality training covering all contemporary genres including jazz, pop, indie, musical theatre and R&B.
