Q: Can anyone learn to sing?

A: Not everyone will become a singer, but you'll be surprised what talent can be uncovered during lessons. It's also a great way to develop confidence and simply have fun!

Q: What styles do you teach?

A: We teach all popular genres - Pop, Jazz, R&B, Indie and Musical Theatre.

Q: When do you teach?

A: All lessons are currently held Mondays through to Thursdays and Saturday afternoons.

Q: What ages do you teach?

A: Over the years, we've had ages ranging from 5 years to 74 years!

Q: Can I have a trial lesson before I commit to a term?

A: Yes.  An initial one-off lesson at $45 for the half hour can be arranged with no obligation to continue the term.

Q: Do you hold performances?

A: Yes, we regularly hold two performances per year. One in the middle of the year and another at the end.

Q: Do I have to perform live if I don't want to?

A: No, but we do encourage you to give it a go. We can have your teacher, or another singer or two join you on stage so you

don't feel too alone!

Q: Is there a waiting area for parents?

A: Yes. Parents can make a tea or coffee and read some magazines in our waiting area. There's also a hotel across the road with

open fireplaces and Borthwick Park behind the studio with playground equipment where parents often take siblings.

Q: If I start in the middle of a term do I have to pay the full term fee?

A: No. The fee will be adjusted to reflect your start date to the end of the term.

Q: Do you hold group sessions?

A: Yes! Groups and harmony work is one of Sue's specialties. You can organise a group with friends or simply register your interest and Sue will certainly try to create a group session for you.

Q: Is your studio easy to find?

A: Very! Bridge Street is accessible from either Kensington Road or The Parade. The studio itself is a heritage shopfront, easily identifiable by the "S. Heanes Boot Store" signage on the side.
